Why study in the UK ??
The UK is recognised as a centre of academic excellence, where students can expect a world-class education that will set them on the road to their future careers in a way that no other country can offer. The QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) global survey of graduate employers consistently shows that UK degrees are highly valued worldwide, with UK universities featuring in the top 10 of the 2020 QS employer reputation ranking.
Developing skills for the global economy
In an increasingly globalised economy, students should be encouraged and taught to develop the skills and qualities to succeed in a global workplace. It’s no longer enough to have a detailed knowledge of their specialised subject. They also have to be effective, creative, independent thinkers. By studying in the UK, students are making a sound investment to gain these skills.
- Study approach
The UK education style offers a personalised approach to help students to develop the intellectual skills and personal qualities they will need to succeed in their future life and career:
An analytical approach, encouraging critical thinking, helps students’ intellectual and career development. For example, when writing essays or undertaking projects during the course of their studies, students are expected to introduce original thought and not simply repeat what they have been told by their tutors.
Creative and analytical skills are essential to progress to problem-solving. These skills are actively encouraged and developed by means of the style of teaching in UK institutions.
It’s not just our world-recognised universities that make us a top choice with international students. Courses in the UK are specifically designed to support you in getting the most from your studies as quickly as possible.
From the traditional to the cutting-edge – whatever you want to study, you are sure to find a course that provides you with the understanding, experience and skills you need to pursue you dream career.
- Teaching and learning methods
Teaching methods are designed to develop independent thinking, interpersonal skills and confidence. The UK teaching and learning style is based upon deep subject learning through wide reading on the subject. This includes:
- attending lectures with staff who have proved their ability through published research
- critical thinking, questioning and analysis
- discussing ideas and opinions with teachers and fellow students
- contributing personal ideas in tutorials, seminars and teamwork
- developing confidence and original thought
- learning how to express themselves through essays, presentations and projects.

University Foundation Programmes
The University Foundation Programmes have excellent progression routes to high ranked universities and include individual advice on applying to university and choosing the right course and place to study, as well as one to one assistance in all stages of the application process.
Classes equip students to function successfully not merely in English but, more specifically, at a particular academic level. It enables them to produce a linguistic style which is relevant to their chosen discipline; for example, the laboratory report in Chemistry follows one style, while a Management style follows another. Our teachers guide university foundation students by helping them to notice, through extensive reading, how writing is constructed within their discipline in order that they might emulate and develop confidence in their own writing.
